Just to inform you, I am still hung up on that book. Rest in peace. I now understand the real meaning of this sentence. Why do we say it when people die. It was a cliché for me till now. But after reading 'The Fault in our Stars' yesterday & having expecting Hazel to die all the time and Augustus to survive even after the Cancer returned, I just can't take it. I can't take it that Augustus had to die and had to die like that. His pain, his struggle to regain his control.. control over himself.. his body.. his life.. control over that unlit cigarette.. He was strong, very strong. He wanted to live.. He really & desperately wanted to live.. but he couldn't. He was lost. He had to become Gus from Augustus.
